Councillor Anne Murphy
We have sadly heard the news that our colleague and friend Anne Murphy died just before Christmas following a short illness. Anne was a great supporter of the work done at Aizlewood’s Mill and was a valuable Board Member of Sheffield Co-operative Development Group.
During her time as Lord Mayor of Sheffield she joined us in dedicating our Board Room to the work of our founder Mike Bower and remained a good friend of the Board, attending meetings either virtually or in person to help promote the development of co-operative enterprises throughout Sheffield and beyond.
Her tireless determination to support the disadvantaged and under-represented in our community will never be forgotten.
